tada: to do Oh boy Oh boy. Y’all are in for a treat. You get to hear what I have on my "to do" list. Right now I’m between big things. I’m not working on a project this second, which is rare for me. Well, besides finishing the run of my comedy group’s current show and writing a screenplay with Todd and getting ready to edit my movie, I have no major new projects starting. That for me is rare. So what I do have is a bunch of crap. The small or big things I’ve been putting off for a long time. I make lists. I love lists. I like crossing things off lists. I sometimes even put things I’ve already done on my list just so I can cross it off. Or I’ll put something like "Take Shower" – something I know I will absolutely do no doubt, just so I can cross something off. I know it’s cheating, but I have a need to "accomplish". I’m an American. Here’s what I have to do: -get various pieces of writing to a producer who liked my last play and wants to read more -call my agency, find out why they hate me -get videotape of a stupid (I mean student) film I did recently -worker’s comp – more legal paperwork for my movie -SAG paperwork – see above -dental appointment – the crown… -hold reading of new play I wrote and have yet to hear – very helpful for a writer -transfer old documents from MAC - long story short, until recently I used a 1990 Mac Classic and I now have to transfer 2000 documents saved since high school (no kidding) to my new PC. It’s not fun. -send headshot to Dawn – sister’s friend in Wisconsin who pretends I’m her famous LA boyfriend (don’t ask) -find a good acting class -enter louisville contest – playwriting -find credit cards with lower interest rate (lethargy has found me paying 19% for years. M. has it down to a science, playing one company against the other, switching constantly, hunting for better rates. I think she’s down to a –3% now. They actually pay her.) -get new headshots -buy plane ticket for vacation to Berkeley – in July -call Susannah – old friend I ran into recently in LA -submit screenplay to a company looking for material -call literary agents who have my screenplay. Find out why it’s taking them 5 months to read it -water plants And that’s it. Well, with all that, what the hell have I accomplished lately, you ask. Ah ha! Bought birthday gifts for M. (spent way too much money, by the way), called my editor, hung out with Winston (yes, I write shit like this down). Um, that’s all I have crossed off. But I’ve done more! I know it. I just can’t think of anything… Oh yes: Write Journal Entry. Hee hee. This is where I let Larry King take over my body for a few minutes. watched Sophie's Choice for the first time tonight. anyone who says
Meryl Streep is too technical is stupid...my friend who's getting married is very
concerned that my other friend who's not married is having a baby. it has upset him more
than it did me...since my puppy died I have become the person everyone calls when they
hear of a dog in need of a home. i'm not ready yet. stee's choice...
